Florence and Siena

Historical centre of the Tuscan region, birth place of Dante Alighieri and Michelangelo, the perfect setting for understanding the Renaissance movement, Florence is a city that deserves special attention.

Our overnight tour offers you not only a better chance to learn about and enjoy this marvellous city but also to see some of the Tuscan countryside and experience the atmosphere of this unique, world renowned region. Upon reaching Florence, we will take a short walking tour of the city and then lunch on Florentine specialities. A visit to the Uffizi Gallery to see, among other famous works, Botticelli's "Venus" and to the Accademia Gallery to see Michelangelo's statue of David are absolute "musts". After our traditional Florentine steak dinner, we'll climb up to Piazza Michelangelo to taste local desserts and enjoy a splendid night view of the city.

Siena Tour

Following our Italian breakfast the next morning, we will drive through the green hills of Tuscany to reach Siena, a fascinating, medieval Tuscan hill town, home of the world's first bank (founded in the 1400s) and site of the traditional "palio" horse race, still held in the main piazza every year in original medieval costumes and fanfare. A lunch which includes a wild boar pasta dish with local "sienaese" deserts accompanied by Tuscany's splendid Chianti wine will conclude our memorable "taste" of the Tuscany region.

Sounds like a sweet experience, doesn't it?
