DON’T BE A GROUCH IS A FUNDAMENTAL RULE OF TOURING WITH LIVITALY

This is not the same as just being uncivil or impolite. One can be perfectly civil and follow every rule of etiquette and still be a grouch. Standard grouch moves include, for example, being grumpy, moaning about everything and drawing attention to minor errors or mistakes that are mostly down to your own doing.

So, trust us, we will do everything in our power to give you an amazing experience. If you encounter an issue or if something goes wrong we will make a special effort to make things right, in return all we ask is, that you leave your grouchiness at home and if you don’t,  LivItaly reserves the right to fire a client.

This policy includes but is not limited to:

WEATHER

Here in Italy, the weather is often hot, sometimes very hot. It rains too.  Customers are advised that if it’s hot enjoy it, if it’s too hot find some shade and if it rains buy an umbrella or poncho. Don’t be a grouch and don’t ask us for a refund because of the weather.

IT IS TOO CROWDED

People love Italy. They come from all around the world to soak up the Italian culture and heritage. This means that at peak times some of the key sites get a little crowded. Don’t be a grouch and complain about the crowds. If you’re in it then you are part of the problem.

CAN’T HEAR YOUR TOUR GUIDE

Sometimes when it is a little crowded it can be difficult to hear your guide. If travelers can’t hear their guide, they are advised not to wait it until the tour is over but to tell their guide. If they still can’t hear them tell them again. You are in a group of six after all. Just ask. If you still can’t hear your guide, get your ears checked. Don’t leave us a crappy review because you have hearing problems.

BOOKED THE WRONG DATE/TIME

You would be surprised how many people book their tour for the wrong year. Yes, the wrong year! If you are coming in 2019 the please book a tour in 2019. If you are coming in 2039 please bring your hoverboard. If you make a mistake when booking let us know as soon as possible and we will see what we can do.

ARRIVE LATE AND MISS YOUR TOUR

Don’t be late. LivItaly Tours does not have a time machine so if you are late, you are going to miss your tour. This is one of the most common grouch complaints that we get. In Italy things don’t always go to plan, we get that, however, it is your responsibility to give yourself enough time and arrive AT LEAST 20 before your tour is due to start.

CAN’T FIND THE MEETING POINT

We provided clear instructions as to where the tour starts. Usually, you will be met at the meeting point by a LivItaly greeter. Travelers should use their phone or a map to navigate to the meeting point. Remember you are in a foreign place so always leave extra time and make sure your phone is charged before you leave.

DON’T LIKE THE OTHER PEOPLE ON THE TOUR

If you want a private tour then book a private tour. If you book a small group tour you will be with other people. Most likely they will be lovely and you are just being a grouch.
